About Us
Lynn Neumann, a self taught chef found herself unemployed after 20 years in the fine jewelry industry. She did not give up just yet, one year later she started an online jewelry store for her former boss. Things were going quite well but she had ambitions of being her own boss. Lynn started by pairing up with her dear friend chef Mary Jaisue who has deep experience cooking in Thai kitchens for more than 20 years. The two became so confident in their food that in January 2014 they opened Sapphire Thai Food Express on Cedar Lane in Teaneck New Jersey.
It was her first intention to open a small Thai Food restaurant for just "to go" and "delivery" with a few seats for customers to relax while they waited for their food. A few weeks after "Sapphire Thai Food Express" opened its doors for business, Sapphire already earned repeat customers who are enjoying Sapphire's reputation for traditional home made Thai dishes. Sapphire Thai Food Express is also becoming known for preparing unique Thai dishes such as Meing Kham which has gotten rave reviews. Dishes can be prepared Vegetarian, from not spicy to 3 stars, and off the menu orders are welcome.
